In recent years, BMW has become known for slicing and dicing up segments like the best teppanyaki chefs. This new Concept X2 is clearly hinting towards a new, smaller compact crossover from the Bavarian automaker.
That’s not really a bad thing, as we’re already fans of the M-tuned X4 crossover, plus there’s no question car buyers are hungry for premium compact crossovers. You can’t swing a dead cat in any auto mall without hitting at least two sporty-compact-luxo-SUVs.
The Concept X2 explores some new design ground for the brand and while it’s difficult to make any two-box shape attractive, this crossover concept looks balanced and athletic at the same time.
Expect to see stronger hints at a production version of this Concept X2 at global auto shows later this year.
