Known for its success as a racing team, CJ Wilson Racing has added two new automotive dealerships to its expanding retail operations. Announced today, an agreement with Briggs Automotive Company sees CJ Wilson Racing and Entertainment becoming the exclusive sales and service dealer for the BAC Mono supercar in North Texas and Scottsdale, Arizona.
Baseball star Wilson has a penchant for fast and extreme performance cars and said, “Having spent a significant amount of time with the BAC Mono over the last couple of years, I have really fallen in love with the brand. Whether it is as specialist car for the serious track day enthusiast, or as the ultimate road car, it really creates a feeling unrivalled by any other vehicle, regardless of price.”
If you’re not familiar with the Mono, it’s a single seat supercar that weighs just 580 kg (or under 1,300 lb) and powered by a 305-horsepower, 2.5-litre four cylinder engine. Consider those numbers for a moment. In addition, the spec sheet is pure racing tech. Yes, the Mono is a crazy sort of supercar.
Founded by brothers Neill and Ian Briggs in 2009, Briggs Automotive Company produces the Mono in the United Kingdom. Neill Briggs said, “The BAC Mono is a supercar designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, and it’s of vital importance for BAC to partner with dealers who fully understand the ethos of Mono. CJ Wilson shares our passion for cars, and with his attention to detail and emphasis on exceptional customer care we can be confident the BAC brand and Mono supercar will be accurately demonstrated to potential clients. We are delighted to announce this partnership and I look forward to a successful future.”
These two new dealerships add to Wilson’s long list of automotive and motorcycle retail operations that already include McLaren, Mazda, BMW, and KTM, among others.
