We weren’t even planning on competing this weekend, but a little arm twisting on the part of the series had me behind the wheel of our brand new Guelph Nissan | Waterloo Nissan Micra Cup racer at Calabogie Motorsports Park in Ontario, Canada.

The race on Sunday, May 15, 2016, started just like every other race, but a few seconds after the drop of the green flag, it went horribly wrong for a number of my competitors. Here’s the view from my perspective.

Thankfully, everyone involved is ok and didn’t require serious medical attention, which speaks to the sound and safe construction of the Nissan Micra Cup cars. Motorsports In Action of St-Eustache, Quebec, deserves the credit for building some very tough racing cars.
